Tea has been takeaway leftovers (bits of shish kebab and so on) with chips

This was accompanied by the latest episode of Forensics: The Real CSI on iPlayer. One of those sad ones involving a couple of friends neither of whom seemed to have much going for them, and one ended up dead after a stupid argument over nothing

Read some more of Bad Call which included reasons not to ride a motorbike, not to try to make a grindstone out of some random stone you found, and not to try to cross an expressway on foot in a snowstorm

We've started the week with a ship full of cyanide crashing into a ship full of jet fuel. I wonder what the rest of the week will bring?

      Goodnight all

          Morning denizens

Cloudy out, though high and thin rather than low and oppressive, at least for now. Getting colder, as was foretold: 4°C now and no higher than 7° expected. The barometers are venturing a little higher again at 998/1006mB

A cold north wind is blowing, 5C at 06:30, but in the breeze it felt a lot colder.

He certainly is very responsive - I didn't initially contact him about that, but about https://tripgeo.com/scrambledmaps/reykjanesbaer-is
(which on a 6x3 grid opens up as completely solved)
There was a bug in the code so that if it opened completely solved, you couldn't OK out, you had to exit the game. 4 hours after I contacted him about it, it's now changed so that you score a completed grid in zero moves!

I've now mentioned the vintage maps issue, and also asked if he could add in a change so that if you complete a country, then that country name turns green, or that there is a separate list that shows what countries you have completed (or how far through each one you are)

                Morning.

                Tuesday.

Much better night's sleep. . The drugs are working, slowly, but they are working.

                Dry.

                Sunny.

                Blue sky in parts.

Chilly in here at 14.3 deg, 12.5 in the kitchen, 12 in the leanto.

1005.5 mBar, 29.692 in Hg, 754.2 Torr, 14.584 psi, (up from 1003 last night), 59% RH (Lidl electric).

Meanwhile on the 31st of December 2019 Brillo was still recovering from his accident, LM was off to a wedding (not hers), HWMBO was recovering from whatever had upset him, and NF had a lunch consisting entirely of Health Food: to wit: sausage rolls. , whereas BR14 popped in to ask if Brillo was using M$Drivel in his endeavours.

Walk (unabbreviated) walked in the sunshine. Rather colder today than yesterday, I thought the scarf was precautionary but it turned out to be essential. Cold lazy wind.

                Lunch: brunch.

Entertainment: Y&Y waffling on about chatbots. I almost phoned up to tell 'em out my experiences with NTL Hell and having that chap in Port Talbot in the directory against that number for nigh on 10 years.

The Asbestos thing: T&N. Not quite sure how Septic court judgements apply in the UK but there you go: 51st state & all that.

Some potching done on the tin shed after I managed to get my overalls on without much difficulty. Later on we shall find out if it was A Good Idea or a Really Dumb Idea. Only time will tell.

Tea: Tesco battered cod etc. Nice enough.

Entertainment: PM. More tedious tulipe about the Orange Moron's latest doings. Where the feck is a patsy like LHO when he is so badly needed? The last mofo couldn't shoot straight & feck nose what the twat on the golf course was trying to do.

Book. Other book. Other other book.

Some bollox on Blaze too irritating to bother with.

Lucy wotsit warbling about the Spanish Armada: ditto.

13 channels of tulipe on the tv to choose from, my arse. More like 50 odd & still nothing to watch.

                Finished book.

                  Morning all

Started off cloudy, then went sunny, now back to cloudy with a decidedly grey hue. Currently 8 degrees ('feels like' 5) with a high of 9 expected. Rain due imminently and then off and on all day. Barometer at 1008 mBar.

                  Sunrise 06:24; Sunset 17:59

Uneventful journey home last night. The in-flight manager decided to activate the drop down screen that displays the moving map, which all us old-timer travellers absolutely loved.

Back to work this morning. Spent most of my morning so far trying to synchronise four calendars.

I was watching Mastermind last night, and one of the questions was about Agatha Christie's book "A Caribbean Mystery". The fictional island that this murder mystery takes place on is called St Honoré.
I never knew that before, but it didn't take too long to realise that is where Robert Thorogood got the name Honoré for the town in Death in Paradise.

it's the name for the island, not just the town in DIP.
