Quite a busy day today. It didn't have to be though, as it turned out we'd spent most of the time uncovering bugs in the tooling created by another team
The impressive thing is that the stuff that was broken used to work. It seems they'd decided to "tidy it up" a bit, but also didn't have appropriate tests and have thus baked in assumptions made on the basis of the way the demo application they use for testing is structured. Meanwhile back in the real world, our stuff is usually a bit more complex than the demo app
It was sunny but cloudy when we arrived. Then it very quickly turned dark and cold. Currently 13 degrees and it'll drop to 10 overnight. Barometer at 1025 mBar.
Sunrise 07:12; Sunset 17:54
Went out for dinner to a local restaurant and now relaxing in the hotel. Tomorrow we aim to see a bit of Carthage before heading to Paris on Wednesday morning.

Reason: fixed the wave
I finished Character Limit. It's clear that Musk is an idiot with no business or technical acumen, and also that he came very close to a complete mental breakdown on several occasions as he destroyed Twitter. There's nothing in there that would make one feel any sympathy for him though. FAFO sums it up
Cloudy but bright and dry. Currently 13 degrees with a high of 17 expected. Slight chance of a shower this morning. Barometer down a smidge to 1024 mBar.
Sunrise 07:11; Sunset 17:55
I didn't plan anything for today as I wasn't sure what state we'd be in. We are actually reasonably awake and it seems a shame to not get out and see some of the very fine historical bits of Carthage. Sadly, getting a guide at such short notice is impossible so we may just hop in a taxi and see what we can make of it.
Grey and rather damp start out, albeit not raining. Looks a bit misty though. It's currently 3°C ("feels like" -1°) and hopes to be 5° later. The barometers are heading down at 1007/1015mB
Chilly in here at 11.5 deg, 10.5 in the kitchen, 8 deg in the leanto.
1017 mBar, 30.03 in Hg, 762.8 Torr, 14.75 psi, (down from 1019 last night). 60% RH (Lidl electric).
Meanwhile on the 27th of December 2019* I was doing the washing, whilst LM was trundling that which required a trundle, Brillo popped in extensively, and BR14 commented on the fruitbowl.
*Turned the ignore off then on again. Just so's you know, like. . I couldn't face 19th of October all over again again.
Mildly inneresting thing on R4 about tariffs at 09:05. Repeal the corn laws!
Walk (unabbreviated, slightly different more muddy route) walked in the grey gloom. Extra layer in use again.
Lunch: brunch.
Entertainment: Y&Y waffling on about rents, mortgages and such like. <click>.
TWATO if I remember to see what cretinous ideas the Orange ReichsFuhrer and his puppeteer the Reichsleiter have come up with overnight.
House roughly vacced since the place was looking distinctly needing it.
Had 15 minutes potch on the ft tester just to show willing.
Tea: Tesco battered haddock etc. Nice enough.
Entertainment: PM. <click> More nonsense from the Orange Moron who, of course, knows no history or anything else apparently.
Morse: The Dead of Jericho S1 E1. The one where the jag gets the passenger door wrecked. 1987. If only I'd know then what I know now. Loved the Constable Dixon bit. .
The thing on BBC Alba about the Cold War Part 2. Cuba & onwards.
Shooter S3 E12, E13. The last of it thank feck. Reasonable enough ending without any happiness. Glad there's no S4.
