    Morning.

    Sunday.

    Grey.

    Dark.

    Dank.

    Dreary.

    Damp.

    Misty.

    Sunless.

Warm side of chilly in here at 14.4 deg, 13 deg in the kitchen and the leanto.

1007.5 mBar, 29.75 in Hg, 755.687 Torr, 14.61 psi, (down from 1011 last night), 65% RH (Lidl electric).

Meanwhile on the 5th of December 2019 LM posted a nice youtube vid so we could all go Ooooooommmmmm together, I was still though there's no confirmation it was early Chinese Bat Plague of course, NF observed that it was windy though the rain was holding off until he went shopping, and Brillo congratulated WTFH on his Millennium though he still couldn't it.

Freecell score: 100%, running average: 80%

    Lunch: brunch.

    Entertainment: TWTW.

Freecell score: 92%, running average: 80%.

    Book. Other book.

Tea: beans on toast etc. with an added boiled egg just for the fun of it.

Entertainment: something or other on R4: it went <click> when it started talking about county lines.

Am Dro. Yng Nghymraeg with subtitles: Chepstow: Offa's Dyke. Harlech. Aberystwyth. Highest waterfall in England & Wales.

"Rise of the Freemen" on PBS.

Some bollox or other, probably on Blaze about the Moors Saladin and the Templars or something. About a Crusader Castle that was slighted by Saladin et al, who, oddly enough, before slighting it, offered to buy it and let the Crusaders feck off without killing them all. They turned his offer down & he killed them all.

As regards Xmas trees: mine's been perched on top of a video recorder for at least 2 years, maybe 3, replete with baubles, fairy lights, and the mandatory Fairy Liquid bottle on top. It was a right bugger getting the hole big enough to fit the ornament through said bottle: touch things these Fairy Liquid bottles.

Nice longish walk with neighbours this morning with cafe stop at local vineyard. Nowt this afternoon. Feeling lazy.

          Afternoon all

Overcast. Damp. Currently 13 degrees and that's the high for the day. The sun might make an appearance before it sets. Barometer down to 1012 mBar.

Last night HWMBO and I went to The White Horse in Mayfair for a champagne and English sparkling wine tasting. We then took a walk to Nipperkin and had some very fine cocktails there. Ended the evening with dinner at Bebe Bob in Soho. A long lie in was required this morning.

It turned sunny this afternoon, but of course it then set almost immediately

As it's the first Sunday of Advent, it's the correct date for putting up the Christmas tree. I've never had one but my parents' one was passed along to me so I just assembled it and hung some baubles (which had been kept in an old Roses tin, as is traditional) on it

Then I put it back in the corner where it had been sitting in pieces in a bag since it arrived, as I can't be bothered to sort out a place for it to be prominently displayed right now. There are fairy lights in the bag too, so I suppose I'll have to find it a space where they can be plugged in

Tea has been a bowl of Scotch broth, followed by a nice strawberry tart

This morning saw the usual glut of Monkey Life

This afternoon, the Canadian and NZ stuff was all things that have been repeated ad nauseam, so I spent some time mucking about with SwiftUI and Bluesky again

And this evening, as well as more Swift bits, an old 24 Hours in A&E

Monday again tomorrow. Only two more weeks, or eight days, to go till I finish for the year…

                Goodnight all

                  Morning denizens

Patchy cloud out, tending more towards cloud, leading to a refulgent red-gold dawn. It's expected to remain cloudy, but no rain is expected. Currently 7°C (but "feels like" 2°) with a possible high of 10°, and the barometers are down a bit more to 997/1005mB

                    Morning all
A bit of drizzle on the walk earlier, then it cleared up and while the sun is shining, there's also menacing clouds to the north and west.

                      Morning.

                      Monday.

                      Dry.

                      Sunny.

                      Blue sky in parts.

Chilly in here at 14.3 deg, 13 deg in the kitchen, 12 deg in the leanto.

1010.5 mBar, 29.84 in Hg, 757.9373 Torr, 14.656 psi, (up from 1007 last night), 64% RH (Lidl electric).

This morning's dream before waking involved designing something with a microcontroller, losing the databook, then wandering around a park where the paths were being raked. Really odd. Another nightmare job.

Meanwhile on the 6th of December 2019 I was still after the 's flu jab, it was generally wet as indicated by WTFH's filthy dog walk, BR14 was woken early by someone starting a compressor & an angle grinder next door at the inconsiderate time of 08:30, and covbob celebrated the deluge, with LM having a slight rant at her then current client, no doubt brought on by being woken by "Today" & having to get out of bed to turn it off, whereas NF discovered that his dental appointment was in December rather than the January he'd expected. I hate it when that happens.

Shopping trip to Morrisons done dusted washed dried sanitised & put away. Plenty of Glengettie tea today.

Walk (unabbreviated) walked in the sunshine: timed to a tee since it's raining now.

                      Lunch: brunch.

Entertainment: Y&Y. TWATO, much whining about triggering women. . FFS.

Freecell score in the grey gloom: 85%, running average: 80%.

Tea: chilli con carne (tinned, Morrisons saver), better than some I've tried, etc.

Entertainment: Nazi Hunter thing: commandant of Treblinka.

                      Paul Sinha's pub quiz thing.

Thing about the Bronze Age Apocalypse: what happened to all the civilisations that disappeared about 1200 BC? Er, maybe part II will inform us.

Oak Island nutjobbery 2nd half: down the hole they go. A snuff movie would make a pleasant & entertaining change.

And this week we ain't found tulip Gary finds some weird bobby dazzler that makes him cream his jeans despite what looks like a lump of red plastic stuck through it, and two of them finally go down the garden shaft to look at... more mud. And bits of wood, and planks and stuff. Dunno what happened in the first half since I was watching the thing about the Bronze Age Apocalypse.

                      Book.
