The disabled fox is lying out on the lawn, just chilling

    Comment

Lunch: sardine (olive oil variety) toasties

Brightening up a little out. The fox has moved on, and now the gardener is here mowing the lawns.

I figured I might not have slept well last night because I was too warm, so I'm switching to the two-thirds thickness duvet. And as there isn't much point getting into duvet-wrangling without changing the bed, I have stripped same, flipped the mattress, and left it to air

The sun has gone following the briefest of appearances. No more than a flirtive wink with the merest hint of better things to come.

I need to buy a new car and I've penciled in tomorrow for some tire kicking. I detest the whole experience and am not looking forward to it at all. I buy red ones, but they seem to be thin on the ground at the moment with the majority being black, white, or a rather forgettable grey. Grim indeed... but a rather dashing 370Z in yellow did catch my eye. There'd be next to no room for the former partner, kid, and dog... but that might be a good thing.

Lunch was a ham sandwich, some nuts, and a small chocolate.

I'd be disappointed if this were my last meal, but there are sausages, egg, and chips on the menu for later, so I may hold on a bit longer. I might add some beans into the mix to tip the balance.

Off to the dentist in 45 minutes for a check up. Then off to meet friends for dinner and cocktails.

Mowed the lawn, watered some plants.

            Finished for the day.

And thanks for the reminder to make a dental appointment.

Tea has been lamb scouse with a couple of bits of seedy bloomer

Turned into a very pleasant afternoon and evening after the rather overcast start

And the bed has been remade, thereby avoiding an unpleasant surprise later

The car today was an Escort RS2000, taxed until April next year, and the gold diggers kept on digging with some success.

Later, I had strawberries with chocolate and hazelnut ice cream, which were very nice

And then an old episode of 24 Hours in A&E

And so to bed to finish off October 1666, at the end of which Sam Pepys finds himself worth above £6,200 but the navy in disarray for lack of funds, Parliament in disarray over the matter of how to raise funds, and rumours of internal unrest and the threat of invasion spreading through the land

                Goodnight all

                  Morning denizens

Sunny start out. Already 11°C, with 20° expected in the afternoon, while the barometers are unimportantly down at 1014/1022mB

                    Morning.

                    Wednesday apparently.

Instead of the usual unpleasant work based nightmare, this morning's involved NERVA and travelling to Mars & back, with some sort of parasitic entity in the control system. It was pleasant to wake up.

                    Dry.

                    Sunny.

Cool in here at 17.7 deg, 19 deg in the kitchen, 16 deg in the leanto.

1023 mBar, 30.21 in Hg, 767.3131 Torr, 14.83736 psi, (up from 1022 last night), 74% RH (GDR hair), 69% RH (Lidl electric).

Meanwhile on the 9th of June 2019 I lusted after next but one's recently single inhabitant having noticed the strange absence of her partner, while LM was cooking to avoid doing revision, and NF discovered he'd already written the stuff he was about to write but had completely forgotten so doing.

Walk (unabbreviated) walked in the unbearable heat of the sun. When will this hell end?

Lunch: scrambled egg and poached tomato on Morrisons oat and barley toasted crust, yellow corner yog (getting to the end of these now they've gone up to ridiculous prices again), bramble jelly and marmalade on slices of overtoasted toast (rather than hot bread), 0.91*1.55 pints of good Glengettie tea.

Entertainment (until it went <click>): Y&Y waffling on about stuff. And mostly nonsense. Let 'em eat cake, I say. TWATO.

Shopping trip to Aldi, where I attempted to use the wrong card with the right password and paid in cash instead, thence to Wilko for a set of glass casserole dishes, all now done dusted washed dried sanitised & put away.

I think I've got brain rot.

The plod were hurtling* around Roman Way in a couple of vans. I predict a riot. Nice day for it.

                    *Doing at least 10 mph.

Freecell score in the unbearable heat: 88%, running average: 85%.

Tea: chicken in white sauce with rice n peas, the last of the mango slices, a yog, 0.91*1.55 pints of good Glengettie tea.

Entertainment: PM. Lots of feckwhittery re the Cardiff drama including an interview with the chief feckwhit.

Wheeler Dealers S12 E15 Messerschmitt KW200: bought: £17k, total (including the cracked first dome): £22271, sold (allegedly to Sweden): £25k. It passed one MOT in 2015, nothing since. I'm surprised it's still on there (with the wrong colour) if it's been exported.

The Oak Tree on BBC4. Inneresting in parts. Some of those bugs are scarey.

The Bad Skin Clinic S5 E6. Woman with "eczema" which isn't. It's acroangiodermatitis which is a good deal more serious. Vein problems. Just as well it was caught before it ulcerated. Pressure stockings. Creams. Seems to be working. Chap with keloids on his ears that he attempted to remove himself. Nothing like a nice bit of DIY I always think. . 2 year old with eczema. Chap with a lump on his head for 42 years. Lipoma, extracted by someone else.

Dr Pimple Popper S5 E6. Not finding these as good as the earlier ones, they seem to have changed it somewhat. Woman with steatocystoma multiplex. Chap with rhinophyma.

The Saved & Remade Workshoppe: or The Repaire Shoppe by any other name. . E1. It'll probably be lucky if I manage to watch much of it. About 45 seconds as it transpired. It's one of those butcher something into something crap type programmes.

                      Morning all

Blue skies and chemtrails. Plus the occasional high level wisp. Currently 14 degrees with a high of 20 expected. Cloud cover set to increase as the day progresses but it'll still be sunny. Barometer hasn't moved.

Got home late last night and am sleepy today
