Problem getting to sleep last night so a good deal more book got itself read, which was rather irritating, being irritated enough to start with.

Lunch: baked potato with cheese & baked beans, a red corner yog, bramble jelly & marmalade sandwiches, 0.91 pints of good Glengettie tea.

Entertainment: Money Box followed by Dead Ringers.

Lovely day so far. Keys handed in, ex-landlady very gushing and lovely, promising to arrange deposit return asap.

On the way home we got off at Ealing Common to check out the fishmonger and butcher. HWMBO very happy. Then headed towards home to find a brunch spot and happened upon a street food market around the corner from a wine bar. So we had wine and tasty nibbles before toddling home.

Forgot to report that general laundry was washed and hung out before leaving this morning. It is now dry so has been brought back in.

Grey day out, which is a lot better than that nonsense earlier in the week

Currently 22°C and maybe getting to 23° shortly before cooling down a little ahead of a drizzly night. Barometers are down a bit at 1009/1017mB

I don't know why I don't put it straight in the wash more often; it saves a lot of faffing about

Tea has been lamb scouse, with a couple of thick ends of seedy bloomer. Very tasty

The "smart" light bulb in the living room didn't come on when it was supposed to. I think it must have crashed, as when I turned it off and on again with the light switch, it lit up and is now responding normally to commands from my phone. The future is silly
