They deigned to give us some wildlife repeats today, which were topped up this evening by E1 of Planet Earth III on iPlayer

And tonight, I started reading There Is No Antimemetics Division by qntm, this being the rewritten v2 that was recently published. If you’re familiar with v1 at the SCP Wiki and/or in the self-published editions, you have to get used to the Foundation becoming the Organisation and the SCPs becoming the Unknowns, but there are also some structural changes and certain aspects of the story have been changed, tightened up, and so on. It’s still excellent stuff though

    Goodnight all

For tea tonight, I tried a new-to-me Indian place. I’m not sure why I hadn’t tried them before as they’re quite close by, in what’s generally thought of as the poshest area of the city - estate agents try to claim that where I live is there, but it’s not

Turns out they do the deliveries themselves, so I was denied the pleasure of watching on a map as they got closer. I went down to wait at the front door as soon as I was notified that they’d set off, and only had to wait a minute or two before it arrived, as they were in a car. It turned out to be very nice indeed, and excellent portions

I’m glad I only went for the “a little spicier” option when the form asked how hot I wanted it, as it was pretty hot! This is one of the perils of living in a city where so many people are of Indian heritage. The next option up was “desi hot” and I know enough to realise that I surely wouldn’t be able to handle that

antibio's should be here Monday, too.
fingers crossed it doesn't get too bad, too fast.
Good luck! Dental abscesses are awful; hope they can sort it out quickly

    Lunch: ham toasties

The ham ought to have been eaten by yesterday, but I daresay it’ll be fine. It still smelt and tasted like ham

    Afternoon denizens

Back to grey here, and expected to continue so for most of the year. It’s 7°C (but “feels like” 0°) and that’s as good as it'll get today. The barometers are much the same as they were elsewhere yesterday: 1025/1033mB

The new bedding proved to be very comfy

Gawd. Hope gets better soon skb. Fortunate here, there's an emergency dental thing about 15 miles away. Had to use them once.

Walk with youngest of my 3 loony ladies later, looks nice & sunny tho cold.
