Pikelets are also a good alternative to crumpets if you find the thickness of crumpets too much.

I like to have mine with lightly scrambled egg.

I also like just a little bit of black pepper (I always use salted butter on bread type products so no need to any more).

Ended up attended two church services today - the first courtesy of Radio 4, the second at the christening I was attending.

Weather stayed pleasant with just a brief shower, the ominous black clouds not amounting to very much in the end.

My parents and I then went to The Bridge Inn at Amberley to see my brothers band play. I left at the half way point to drive home.

Couldn't get a parking space on my road so am parked one street away. Will need to fix that tomorrow evening.

how does one 'lightly' scramble an egg?
it's either whole, or scrambled i would think.

anyway, dinner was yet more curry.
and all the better for 24hours maturing.

Lightly as in not overcooked, it has wobble and glistens, cooked in a saucepan with butter, rather than the hard lump that my mum produces from the microwave

For tonight’s tea, I had the last of the shoulder of beef pot roast in red wine from a few weeks ago, with potato wedges and petits pois. Very tasty

              More BTVS and Angel.

After which, now watching a thing about Stanley Kubrick on BBC4.

Featuring one of my finest roles.

No telly tonight other than a bit of the thing about the Met on iPlayer

Instead, I’ve been reading Why We Sleep. Very interesting stuff, and from what I’ve read so far I’m persuaded that I should have an early(ish) night

                Goodnight all
