This evening's tea/dinner was more of yesterday's roast lamb.

It was nice enough.

Not in the carrots & onions thing.

The televisual treats began with Abandoned Engineering about assorted abandoned roads in Italy, France, the UK, and California.

It was interesting enough.

Followed by the Apollo 14, 15, 16, and 17 thing on Smithsonian.

Currently watching the thing about Skylab and the ISS on Smithsonian.

I'd almost forgotten about Skylab.

I'd definitely forgotten all about the parasol it needed.

Lovely.

Now we're on to drinking urine.

I'm now ripping the DVDs of Nice Work (TV Mini-Series 1989– ) - IMDb, which I'm hoping will be a somewhat less miserable thing to watch than S3 of Spiral. I really enjoyed the novel by David Lodge on which it was based, but never saw this TV adaptation.

I don't really need to rip it, but having it on the computer allows me to access it via the Apple TV without having to get up and put the disc in, which is better because I'm extremely lazy

Well, I figured that would see me through the week, but it won't because I ended up bingeing all four 55 minute episodes in one go, and very good it was

A pretty faithful adaptation, as one might expect given that David Lodge adapted it himself

And although I experimented with using some Handbrake preset to upscale it, I ended up watching the discs instead because it turns out my very expensive 4K Blu-ray player does a better job of upscaling DVDs, possibly because that's one of its primary functions and reasons for existing

Bumped into a few DoE groups on the hill earlier. Their teachers got them up at 5.30 in an effort to avoid the heat. Poor kids.
