I've got boxes full of pensions crap.

I could defer the state one for a year or so, since it's not as if I'm strapped for cash in the first place.

I take a fairly simple view of the private stuff, just sell me an annuity thingie, feck off & pay me £n a year.

No doubt I'll have to pay some shyster £1000 to tell me that's a good/bad/indifferent idea.

Plus I have no detectable urge to buy a Lambo.

I think there's very little chance of regular work from the old source, but I am getting some interest from S3 agents again.

Maybe they're too thick to work out how ancient I am.

You just never know when that essential program for WinNT will come in handy like.

Earlier this morning I was looking at some Public Domain library 5.25" diskettes that my predeceased predecessor had bought back in the 1990s.

Long long ago & far far away.
      Even got some floppies, too

I'm going to see if the Internet Archive wants rips of the CDs, as they have a collection for such things: CD and DVD Coverdiscs : Internet Archive

        Dear Deity.

        We're drowning in digital rubbish.

Currently wondering if I'll have the patience to stay awake until 23:59 to watch my account get zapped.

Be interesting to see if you actually get booted out at that point, or if your session continues and you just can't log in after

Should I try for Contribution Based dole?

              Just askin' like.

In other news, got a glass tankard (unlike the silver plated or pewter ones from previous employments) which was very nice, £117 towards my new shed, and, unusually a bunch of roses.

The fun started with a potluck lunch, followed by adjournment to The Queens Hotel, followed by a further adjournment to a place in the Marina which stocks craft beers, some of which have remarkable strength, proper falling down stuff.

I subscribed to "Cwtch", which is 4.5% and stuck to halves, until it was time to catch the last X7 of the evening.

Now cooking the M&S battered haddock.

              Yum.

              enjoy!!!!

Tonight's entertainment started with a rewatch of Total Recall (2012), being (as the date suggests) the remake with Kate Beckinsale kicking arse rather than the original, which is apparently Art while this one isn't. Anyway, it may not be Art but it's got loads of excellent CGI stuff going on, and that's all I was really concerned about

And after that, one I haven't seen in donkey's years, maybe twenty or more: The Italian Job (1969), being the best free advertising the BMC ever got, though by all accounts they couldn't get their heads round the concept

                Anyway, cracking stuff of course

                Goodnight all

Sadly my exhaustion got the better of me and I was tucked up in bed by then.

Now it just brings up "Error".

Apparently some of my emails to Eye Tea support caused some consternation.

Apparently threatening to throw a Win 7 box into the dock isn't the done thing.

Yup, the account has turned its toes up.
