I thought after I moved from the city there would be no return. Unbelievably someone is very interest in me - an enormous contract rate.

That reminds me, I was heading into Harrogate this morning down a very tight but national speed limit type road with hedges right up to the roadside. The type of road you need to concentrate on a multitude of different things at one time. I came round a sharpish left hand bend, making sure to hug the kerbside, at about 40mph and just had chance to stop accelerating when I went straight over a lady pheasant which was strutting out to see the male standing right in the middle. The male escaped. The female was turned into a shower of feathers. The white van man up my jacksie backed off a little. Forgot to check whether it was embedded in the grille or not when I parked up

white van man now has half a brace of pheasants if he had any sense.

I nearly had a deer years ago , wrecked the front of my Volvo but then got up & walked off.

It'll be 20 quid worse off whatever it turns in to.

I've watched Ronald Dahl's alternative fairy tales so I well leave well alone...

White van man was clearly distracted by the forthcoming NIC changes and not at all interested in roadkill.

I got both wheels over the top of a badger on an unlit road one dark night - no sign of the fecker the next morning. You'd have thought it would have been road carpet...
