The thing is there is no one else past 31/3 to manage a vital live system. So the client is somehow desperate. Or they can go to the likes of CGI and get a temp. The problem is that this system has a 1-2(3) months learning curve.
'Senior' recruiter at Hays popped up on my Linkedin this morning asking for a 'Plain English guide to the IR35 regulations'
I'd be very worried if I was in the PS via Hays right now..... Just adding to the problem, not helping at all.
Maybe its to inform the events they are running ....
"IR35: 2017 and beyond
We are delighted to invite you to the Hays IR35 seminar, to discuss the evolving implications of this legislation for public services. Whilst impending changes and high profile cases have thrust the IR35 legislation into the limelight there has been little in the way of guidance on how to respond.
To help you better understand what the tax implications mean for you, over the course of an hour, Steve Witts, our Group Head of Tax and Treasury, will outline what IR35 is, the current draft legislation and what it means for public sector hirers, recruiters and workers.
We hope you can join us for what promises to be an engaging and informative event."

Oh that's just beautiful LOL... I wish I'd seen that earlier. You got a linky for that?
'CUK forum personality of 2011 - Winner - Yes really!!!!
After a month and a half discussions with agencies and Legal, current ClientCo came out with a statement that all contractors working on projects (like myself) will be declared outside IR35. For the rest they will review them on case by case with the strong desire to not declare anyone inside.
Paper work is to be updated in the coming weeks. If it actually happens I will be happy panda.
