I know I was replying to you but the last bit was aimed at b r (or anyone else umming and erring about leaving their public sector contract)...

Start it off with something like... I'm inside already and I'm likely to be inside after April but that's irrelevant because I'm inside already.. Should I stay?
NLUK - your personal opinion of my current situation is completely irrelevant for several reasons:-

      1) You dont really know the details anyway and are guessing a lot of it.
      2) You say whatever gives you the opportunity to run someone else down anyway

No. All people doing similar things are perm or contractors with the consultancy. There are no direct PS IT staff.

There are a few perms here who get TUPE from consultancy to consultancy over the years - depends who wins the contract.

We don't have to unless you have been telling porkies.

The situation is simple either act on your own, or play mushrooms along, I'm sure, with many others.
I can honestly say I would not be comfortable in your position.

It's based on plenty of posts you've made so it's not an opinion it's based on facts you've posted. I'm not the only one that's mentioned it either.

Whodathunk if there is a complicated situation you'd hijack a thread to go on about your situation ad nauseum when you've had our thoughts and the bottom line is we don't know.

You aren't going to be there past February anyway no?

Do the contractors simply switch consultancies too?

So, for my OH who's current contract finishes at the end of March.

Any thoughts on the payment of March's timesheets in April. Normal payment date is give or take 6th month so will the Agency take off NI and Tax before payment, what's the thought?

It will be paid as per the last T&Cs in the period it was earned.

Really? He's only paid in arrears so he earned it prior to the legislation kicking in surely?
