I came here as soon as I received to contribution email. I also have no idea what to do.
The email doesn't make it seem like its a choice pay this massive number or gamble 10%

They're basing contributions on 10% of your overall liability to HMRC - still can't work the figure out.

It's just causing more unnecessary stress for folks in hard times already. I appreciate everyone will have their own viewpoint to this, but Myself like many others who signed up to CK and Boox, did so assuming we'd never have this sort of issue.

I totally feel your pain. I need to take sometime this weekend to weigh everything up and work out how to source funds now. I'm considering remortgaging now as well as worst case resort

These ‘requests’ might be more than the original HMRC demands.

If they are and you don’t want to fight, it might be worth speaking to HMRC about a repayment plan.

Otherwise, contact another tax specialist to help you. I wouldn’t fork out that kind of money to CK.

Exactly - I've asked how they didnt protect themselves better as a skilled and knowledgeable accountancy. I don't have this money available...but why are we paying these if DK is in flight doing the same thing? I've written to him to ask. I suspect he wasn't aware?!

Do you know what your overall liability is? Has HMRC given you a figure?

What is this monstrosity, I have to pay Churchill Knight around £6K to fight a case! Not sure why as they created this mess. Wondering what the others are going to do.
