Exactly which is why I've been very clear in my questioning, and am awaiting the answer with some interest...

Note the additional question I'm asking about the invoice dates - I'm curious and have a suspicion as to what that company was for.....

Also note, that if my question isn't answered in the next couple of hours, I will remove any references to PM Tax Consulting Ltd...

          In conclusion then:

PMTC LTD (Company number 12007123) and PM Tax Consulting Limited (Company number 11372173) are two separate unconnected companies.

OK - so now we've cleared that confusion up, I'm moving this thread back into Walter's thread.

But my question still stands VillageIdiotDan. - Are you saying that Phil Manley explicitly invoiced you in the name of 'PM Tax Consulting Limited' (and this name is stated on the invoice)?
100% affirmative, his support email address sent the invoice on his instruction. I'm not suggesting theres been anything untoward, after all limited companies have people working on their behalf all the time but felt it was important to understand that there is definitely a connection

Mod Note: Phil Manley's PMTC LTD (Company number 12007123) and PM Tax Consulting Limited (Company number 11372173) are two separate unconnected companies.

He just wrote that name on his invoices because of sloppy admin.

Sorry, looking after my son so will be an hour until I can review all posts so pease allow me some time to reply.

From memory it didn't not have a company I'd. I'm not sure if it's appropriate to post a screen shot of that part of the invoice.

Can I ask you to be incredibly careful here - does the invoice have the company number on it (it should) as PM Tax Consulting Limited (Company number 11372173) belongs to <mod snip: not Phil Manley> I have identified separately as a real person who isn't Phil, and she does work in Tax and she was freelance for the period this company was working.

And as I said before the date of the invoice would help things out here.

Sorry for the delay, thank you for everyones input. The invoice dated 22-January-2020 has no company number on it. The header references "Phil Manley Tax Consulting" and the footer references "P M Tax Consulting Ltd".

I have a lot of empathy for Phil's condition and as I said before don't feel there's anything untoward going on. Is it reasonable to assume that the latter is just a careless abbreviation and the engaging entity is PMTC Ltd (company number 12007123) as their address matches the one on my invoice.

Given the date it must be PMTC Ltd as the other company would have been in the process of being closed down.

What I will say is the Phil appears to be incredibly slap dash considering what his business is (which is find tiny cracks in tax law and using it to his customer's advantage).

It’s too late now but I’ll come and clear this mess up tomorrow.

                    But to repeat

I suspect we share a common opinion on the likely approach the individual takes to his and others affairs when such things as this come to light. These are legal documents we are talking about, afterall.
