New York police say that John Littig and Lynne Rosen, who ran the call-in show called The Pursuit of Happiness, died together in their New York apartment earlier this week.

Supposedly “So much about life is about impulse,” Littig said on a broadcast this year on an FM station in New York, WBAI. “It’s about doing it right now.”

Autopsies found that both Littig, 47, and Rosen, 45, died from asphyxiation after inhaling helium, a spokeswoman for medical examiner’s office said Thursday.

I can imagine them side by side, holding each other, looking deeply in to each others eyes. He strokes the hair from her eyes, she places her hand on his broad chest, feeling the life slowly ebbing away... He holders her head and with his final breath says to her...... I love you.....in a squeaky voice...

Doesn't happen like that in the movies...

Undetectable? Apart from the plastic bag over the head? This is very inconsiderate given that Helium is an increasingly rare resource. Surely Nitrogen would have exactly the same effect? Remove oxygen from air by passing air through layer of heated Zinc.

Please consider the environment before committing suicide.

Yep, you just don't see it coming.

A couple of years ago, an Army chum put me in a headlock fookin about and I was out for the count inside 15-20 seconds. Didn't know anything about it. I come around again about 10-20 seconds later and felt very peaceful.

I reckon it's the way to go if you want a very quick, almost painless death...
