You shouldn't have told her how much you took in your closing down sale.

Seconded. Parents can have a pleasant meal in the restaurant while the kids are busy wearing themselves out.

Rule Number 1 - Assuming that you have a valid contract in place always try to get your poo onto your timesheet, provided that the timesheet is valid for your current contract and covers the period of time that you are billing for.

            I preferred version 1!

I reckon it's more about upping on the next person.

Somebody had the magician at a party recently. Now the wife wants him and something extra. Someone else has also booked him.

It's not about the kids. It's about the parents. I couldn't give two hoots on what people think.

£200 for a child’s party magician is actually a good rate, If it bothers you that much why did you not set a budget beforehand?

My wife doesnt seem to understand the concept of a budget. She thinks that the upper limit on a budget is the starting level.

In the real world, that total is ludicrous (specifically the bouncy castle + entertainer - get one or the other), but for a contractor who takes less than 2 days to earn that amount, it's a bit of a daft complaint.
