    Will you stop talking sense.

A mate of mine who was a traffic cop reckoned he got a greater percentage of fails in the morning. His view was if you went out at 9 had 5 pints and came back at midnight there was a good chance you'd still be over in the morning.

Some research also indicates that metabalising alcohol during sleep is quicker with modest consumption but slower when you've had a skinful.

Are we aware of the issue and what do we do about it?

I used to drive in the days before the breathaliser, you just had to manage to walk in a straight line. Mind you, if I was plastered I always drove very slowly, just as well as the brakes on my van didn't work half the time. Those were the days!

            No no no no no.

Panadol contains paracetemol. Paracetemol is metabolised by the same processes in the liver as alcohol. The paracetemol's pain relieving effect is reduced by the alcohol, while at the same time increasing the toxic effects on the liver.

Ibuprofen is safer, but you should eat something first.

Maybe if they changed the road system in this country so that there was a fast lane, a slow lane and a pi33ed lane, we wouldn't have this problem?

It would be brilliant if they could make it so it was safe to drink and drive. Go for a meal, have a bottle of wine (or 2), and drive back slowly in the pi33ed lane.

Yeah, 1 lane for both directions. Sounds like a wonderful, nay Darwinian, idea.

Can you get Ibuprofen in extra strength soluble form ? It has to be soluble...

AFAIK There is no soluble form of Ibruprohen available as it is not readily soluble in water. The closest you get is the Neurophen Melts things that supposedly dissolve on your tongue but I;ve never tried them.

Any reason it has to be soluble?
