Agree with some of his stuff like stopping illegal migration, rectifying some unfair trade and requiring the rest of NATO to bear their share of defence costs, but otherwise the bloke seems a total loony.bloggoth

If he did try to occupy Palestine then all hell could break out but he's not going to commit troops anywhere.
For now, just watch the days tick away until the US can try again to see if they can do better: https://days.to/show/election-day-in-us?year=2028&day=7England's greatest sailor since Nelson lost the armada.Comment

Is there anyone with the required muscle to hit back? The US is the most powerful country in the world, so Trump can flatten them. He can do what he likes.

The people of the USA voted in a child, can't say we're all shocked.
I would say it will be a crazy four years however give it a year and he'll start talking about the nonsense of two terms.
Already looking like 1930s Germany, Hitler had his brownshirts, DonTheCon has his yellow n black Proud Boys.

He had a negative bluety on a quackhandle and was quadraspazzed on a lifeglug.
I look forward to your all knowing and likely sarcastic and unhelpful reply.

Similarly the current ceasefire is holding and hostages on both sides are being released.
Disrupting any of that would have serious long term consequences.

Trump is not all powerful, despite all his bluster. He can't declare war on the rest of the world.

international law
There is national law, which is constructed by the legislature of the country concerned. But who and what puts together international law if not by the agreement of each nation's legislature, and how can it continue to be binding on those countries if they choose to revoke their agreement to it?Comment

Obama would have filled Guantanamo bay again. Knowing Trump he will turn it into a resort.
So far he has managed plenty, Gaza Colombia, Canada and a few others are now learning his tune. He will cement a legacy.
Rather than loony maybe "unpredictable".
He has already started dismantling DEI & LGPQT-Z in the USA you can hear the piggy squeals from here. Wait till the Nige starts in the UK.Comment

I've never understood the concept of International Law.

Until the USA and Israel tell them its done and you better not feck with us or you will meet your maker far sooner, they will continue to attack Israel and try to drive them into the sea.
Now if Israel & the west put Iran in a box (or their top commanders in boxes) no sense will prevail.
International law makes a lot of sense if pure but most of the organisations are liars. the UN is on the terrorists side UNIFIL & UNWRA are enmeshed. ICC & ICJ are laughing in the face of the truth. I suspect Trump will challenge them when he gets round to it.Comment
