Or are you saying that everyone who is Catholic in NI was a member of the IRA?

    Nope

Not everyone in France approved of the Vichy government they founded a resistance. There are about 2 million Gazans and ~ 30,000 Hamas fighters who the Gazans voted in and continue supporting you therefore can't hold the Gazans as Blameless.

In Ireland the general populace did not overwhelming support the IRA and provided intelligence to the British Army.

If the Gazan's wanted rid of Hamas they could just remove themselves from the combat area and resist Hamas. Encouraging the IDF to kill Hamas would be a simple way to remove the mistake of supporting Hamas. By their actions many do not want to.

Recognising the State of Palestine is hardly the same as recognising Hamas.

Who are the democratically elected government of Palestine? Do we have any state boundaries?

Not really, because Israel unapologetically builds "settlements" on Palestinian land at every opportunity.

Oh let me see after 6-7 peace offers all of which Palestine refused now the land they "think" is theirs is sacrosanct but yes that does seem a little shady. Maybe if the Palestinians stopped bombing and attacking Israel daily I might have more sympathy. It does seem that the Israelis are against international opinion and will probably withdraw.

Maybe the IDF and mercenary Israelis should pop over and gang rape a few thousand "Palestinians" then chop their heads off or kidnap them, bomb the Palestinians daily for decades etc. we could then have marches in the London's streets for the Israelis to have new lands and exterminate or remove all Arabs from the area?

How beautifully emotive. The bottom line is Hamas have given Israel the excuse they've been waiting for.

And they probably only show any degree of restraint because the international community (esp. the Americans) are watching. Otherwise they'd probably have carpet bombed Gaza out of existence by now.

Rather that there is NO moral equivalence between Hamas the Palestinian government and Israel's reaction to being attacked.

The support for Hamas is mind boggling.

And you expect anything less from terrorists?

Did you see what the Germans did to the Marquis?

Hamas are terrorists, they are also the elected government of Gaza, if the Gazans want rid of them they can either resist or help the Israelis they cannot stand back or support Hamas then complain about casualties.
