Yes it was a far longer game than that. Putin rose because we allowed him. Because he is not afraid of the west he attacked Crimea and Ukraine. Before Putin Russia was breaking up and obsessed by infighting, strangely a future predicted back in Gorbachev's day. We just needed to facilitate that and help dispose of the ex KGB nutters who might take over and unite Russia instead of them coming to the UK and buying football clubsOriginally posted by woody1 View Post
