we'll probably never know the truth of it.
a) Farage is a lying twat (well just a twat, who lies)
b) Coutt's have already said they cannot speak about it
So all we'll ever get is speculation or lies. And journos love a good speculate, especially if they can just quote Twitterers and avoid any potential libel litigation themselves.See You Next TuesdayComment

This is the 40-page document obtained by Nigel Farage from Coutts bank which details the reasons his accounts were closed in March this year.
It includes 36 pages of background information presented to the bank’s Wealth Reputational Risk Committee in November 2022, minutes of the meeting and an email exchange confirming the decision to “exit” him as a customer.
Despite briefings to the BBC and the Financial Times that Mr Farage’s account was closed for financial reasons, the dossier clearly states that his views “do not align with our values”.
The document also says Mr Farage is a commercially viable customer.
Minutes of the meeting do not specify which of Mr Farage’s views are relevant, but the background briefing paper prepared for members of the committee covers everything from his friendship with Donald Trump to his views on LGBT matters.
The document was given to Mr Farage after he made a subject access request to Coutts, and has been shared with the Telegraph.Comment

Classic Trigenare - sliced and diced what I said, before making himself aware of the facts of the matter! Here's a summary of the Farage relevant posts.
Originally posted by NotAllThere View PostAfter it was revealed in parliament that Nigel Farage had received around £0.5M from RT in 2018, his bank gave him notice that they were closing his business and personal account.
He contacted the chairman of his bank and some "lackey" as he described it, declined to give reasons.

I'm going with arrogance and incompetence!
Apparently, all lawyers are politically exposed persons. Also it's clear the banks are more scared of being caught laundering than they are of losing business. Some kind of readujustment seems necessary.
