Farage is definitely a chancer but this seems to be endemic and rather scary in a democracy. Or don't you think so?Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much.Comment

Some kind of readujustment seems necessary.

Yes. It's beginning to look like they gave him account and kept it open for years for political reasons. Now he's a non-entity pretty much, they can treat him like a normal customer.

But I still find Farage foaming at the mouth discomfiture highly entertaining. Which according to Triggy, makes me a foaming at the mouth lefty.Down with racism. Long live miscegenation!Comment

He can bank with NatWest. That covers his need and legal rights to be able to have a basic UK bank account."You’re just a bad memory who doesn’t know when to go away" JRComment

.
As banks are private businesses who can refuse to give people bank accounts for various reasons as long as they aren't in breach of equality legislation.
In the case of Coutts it is clear they no longer wanted to be associated with Farage.
BTW do you know who Comrade J Corbyn banks with?

I actually read the dossier. See no political bias in the decision. His politics are a risk to the bank and it rightly flagged them but it didn't have a material impact on the decision.Comment
