How lovely comparing the soldiers who died in their millions to allow you the right to free speech to concentration camp guards who denied the innocent life in their millions.
Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much.

Granted, not always, but isn't a UK soldier killing someone on their own soil kind of state sanctioned murder?
      No. Don't be a prat.

Under the UK law, they're not committing murder.

Now, under the law of johnny-foreigner, they can pass a law saying that if a foreign national kills one of their own, it's murder. But in neither case is it legally state-sanctioned murder. Under UK law it was legal. Under foreigner law it was murder by the individual

You do realise that that wasn't why they did it, right? Even in WW1 when most UK soldiers were volunteers, "protecting free speech" was not the reason they wanted to fight. Apart from anything else we didn't have freedom of speech in the UK back then.

Yep and we don't have free speech now.

Unlike in the USA if I was to use certain language on this forum apart from the fact the mods would come down on me like a tonne of bricks, I could be commiting a number of offences that I could be arrested and put on trial for. Under UK law, the death penalty is not legal. In other countries it is.

So 'state sanctioned murder' deoends on the rules of that state. Just because we say it's a legal war, thetefore we can kill johnny F on their soil, it doesn't necessarily mean it's not really murder

Our state backed the us in a phoney war ... thousands dued as a result. I consider that state sanctioned murder

Well that's your right to belief what you like. Though it would only be murder if they deliberately, knowingly did it. Committing unlawful killing would be manslaughter otherwise.
