        I think there are some islands of the Scottish coast that would be more suitable.

        A helicopter could be used to drop regular supplies.

        In winter due to the very poor weather there would be a natural reduction in the islands population.

          You'd need a couple of gun boats to stop the crazies who tend to write and marry psychopathic murderers, and then you'd have the children problem.
