    New Skills for 2023

    So it seems this year for me is going to have some good learning potential;
    For work related I have signed up for a MSc in Construction Law
    For fun I need to learn how to use Lightburn software

    So, anyone else have any plans for learning this year?

    Growing up is optional

    load of Data stuff and Azure+AWS. As I advise various people on using these a few certs might help.

      I'm taking my Outdoor First Aid and Lowland Leader assessment later in the month.

      This will enable me to earn a grand total of £150pd on the occasional walking leader day.

      (The first day's pay will be swallowed up paying for my outdoor insurance, but such is life.)

        Not so much learning rather than pushing my handman boundaries but I'll be having a go at about 70 sq m of decking over two levels including puting a staircase and ballustrade in. Kinda of learning on the job.

        Nothing professionaly. Got my ITIL 4 Managing Professional so that will probably do me until I retire now.

        Got to re-start golf lessons again this year.

        I've always got some project on the go and love learning something new but can't think of anything else at the moment.

            Have you asked your accountant for ideas?

                  It's weird first time in a long time I dont have anything specific that I want to learn. Even last year I had audiobooks on all kinds of subjects and it was interesting but nothing stuck.

                  I'm a bit jaded about new tech.

                  I will watch this thread for something I can pinch.

                    I've got some certs which need to be renewed every 2 or 3 years. One way to renew them is to do a higher certification, so I'm planning to do CompTIA CASP+. That will renew all the lower certs (A+, Network+, Security+, PenTest+, CySA+). Arguably they're not much use to me at this point, but I'm not quite ready to let them expire.
