    It really is watery rubbish

Costa cappuccino has five times more caffeine than Starbucks

Cue all the people who need to tell us "I wouldn't drink any of that pish if you paid me"... but this is a huge variation. I doubt me not liking SB has much to do with the caffeine and in fact I might prefer that, but I have never liked their flavour. I actually rate McD as my go-to cheap fresh coffee. Price of Greggs, as good as any of the major chains IMO who cost 3X as much.

Blimey this is an eye opener. I hadn't even considered this to be a factor. Probably doesn't affect a vast number of people as they don't get a coffee just for the caffeine kick. My go to is Costa because I like their lattes which someone else said in that article. I drink too much coffee so I don't get the kick some people do, just like drinking it. Im on decaff at home so not really an issue for me, and I expect many others, but still something I'd never thought of.

I don't think watering down is much of a factor bearing in mind most are made milk though.

I grab a Starbucks on my way to work because the punters are more attractive and use Macbooks.

You are lucky to even see an Asus in my local Costa.

They all use different beans and some places (SB) don't roast them nicely, so they taste different.

Oddly weird results, typically a cappuccino would have a double shot, so double the amount of caffeine drowned in a bucket of milk, but for some reason Costa has 3 times the espresso caffeine amount and it already has a fairly large caffeine content in a single shot anyway. Pret is off the scale with their single espresso though.

I always say world would be better if people skipped the milk and just had black espresso / brewed coffee (none of the tulipe above though), most delays and additional maintenance is due to milk.

Don't get this caffeine thing. Doesn't do a thing for me. Not tried cocaine yet.
