        At home this year. Will visit Mum for a few days. Might work in the gap between Xmas and NY but I could also just do with some proper down time too, so will see.

                  No queues tonight at T5, it was the emptiest I've ever seen. I was through Passport control in less than 10 mins, and that was despite failing at the e-gates (which normally happens) and having to wait for a human person to wave me through. Baggage was slightly delayed though, as a few delayed flights meant there were more arrivals than they could handle in a short time. Border force should go on strike more often, because we'd actually notice when they went back to working as normal...

                      Saw several reports in the papers that the Armed Forces were providing a very efficient service and were, unsurprisingly, much friendlier than the Border Force staff who normally "protect our borders".
