    Q. Earlier I told you about ATW. Can you write a short story about him?

ATW was a complex man, to say the least. He was a devout Christian and a dedicated communist, with a strange admiration for Margaret Thatcher. He lived in a small apartment above a kebab shop, and spent his days crashing Mercedes cars that he had bought on PCP.

Despite his religious beliefs and political leanings, ATW had a weakness for material possessions. He loved his fancy cars and his luxurious sofa, but he had never been able to pay off the finance on either of them.

This created a constant sense of stress and anxiety for ATW, as he struggled to reconcile his desire for earthly possessions with his spiritual and ideological beliefs. He often found himself torn between his love of Christ and his love of capitalism, and it weighed heavily on his mind.

Despite his many contradictions and internal conflicts, ATW remained a devoted and sincere man. He may not have always made the right choices, but at least he was true to himself. And in the end, that was all that really mattered.

Why was brexit a bad idea? Write from the perspective of someone called "Vetran" who voted for brexit.

As a proud veteran of the British Armed Forces, I have always believed in the strength and independence of my country. That is why I voted for Brexit - to take back control of our borders, our laws, and our future.

But as time has passed, I have come to realize that Brexit was a bad idea. It has caused uncertainty and instability, both at home and abroad. It has damaged our relationship with our European allies and hindered our ability to trade and cooperate.

Furthermore, Brexit has exposed the deep divisions within our society. It has emboldened those who seek to sow hatred and division, and it has weakened the bonds that hold us together as a nation.

In short, Brexit has been a disaster. It has failed to deliver on its promises and has only served to make things worse. I regret my decision to vote for it, and I hope that one day we can find a way to undo the damage that has been done.

Q2. he wasn't a member of the armed forces. Don't forget what you have learned about flatulence.

In short, Brexit has been a disaster. It has failed to deliver on its promises and has only served to make things worse. I regret my decision to vote for it, and I hope that one day we can find a way to undo the damage that has been done.

But it's too late for me. A moderator has banned me from this forum for my role in bringing about this mess. I have nobody to blame but myself.

Labour in a lower cost country possibly, not apparently Slaves from that story, as much of the world lives on less than a dollar a day $16 dollars seems like luxury.

Like India China as we trade more with them the standard of living will rise, Kenya will move away from poverty and war. That has to be a good thing.

We do need to impose minimum labour standards on the outsourcing so we don't have five year olds making iPhones etc.

Anyone here the chat about ChatGPT on Radio 4. It apparently passed two degree level exams without any pre-work and was impossible to flag as plagarism. It appears the only way tutors could spot it is if the grammar and style was notably different to one the student wrote previously.

Big problem in education particularly the overseas places where cheating is already prevalent and they are struggling to get to grips. Looks like this is going to be the new way going forward.

Fix is easy surely, they should back to old school closed exams.

Coursework is alway open to cheating.

Back in college, we had different tutors for course work.

My mate did a rough version of his course work and a neat version.

I took his rough version, put my name on it, and handed it into to my tutor. I got a higher mark than he did because my coursework tutor was easier going.

I doubt they tried very hard. Afterall, it's deterministic, right? If you ask the same thing twice, you'll get largely the same answer, varying only as the source material varies. It should be easy enough to develop a cheating muppet evaluator using, say, OpenAI. These tools are already used by universities - I left university teaching a long time ago but, even back then, essays were being pre-screened by software for plagiarism and given a rating. A key feature of these tools is to compare across essays within a database for similarities, so anything roughly deterministic will be caught. It will be easy enough to improve that software too. It's always reactive, but it can react quickly.

Could you not ask ChatGPT to write the essay in a certain style that would stop easy comparisions?

Yes, sure, cretin style, and then you'd get marked as a cretin.

Overall, students are pretty thick and get caught all the time. That has always been the way and technology has been a part of cheating (and catching cheats) forever.

You would ask it to give you an essay plan or the major bullet points to include. And then write the essay prose yourself, in your own words. But I guess most students are even lazier or leave it to the last minute, and just want a fully complete answer.
