I think yu'll find Rishi was in charge of the economy during Boris's tenure. Heigh ho...

Sunak as chancellor held it together through covid .... let's see how he and Hunt can work together now to get us out of this Tory nose dive!
He created the debt that is behind most of our current financial problems, and increased the overall tax burden to its highest level in many years, plus a few other less than praiseworthy things. His one saving grace is that he may be able to get the Tories pulling in one direction again.

And while we are in a mess, both the US and the EU are in worse ones, just for perspective

    Blog? What blog...?

As long as the USD is the global reserve currency and the US is the largest economy, the US is never in a bigger economic mess because its mess is our mess (only multiplied for us).

The problem in the UK is rising debt, in the EU debt levels are coming down:

          https://ec.europa.eu/eurostat/web/pr.../2-21072022-ap

UK interest rates are much higher than in the Euro zone, which makes UK debt levels even more unsustainable.
          I'm alright Jack

Fact: More people voted for Xi Jinping to be the president/chairman of China this year than voted for Rishi Sunak to be PM.
…Maybe we ain’t that young anymore

China has a bigger population so Communist party executive (or whatever they are called) has more members
