Why does removing tax payer subsidy make it an 'attack on Humanities'? If the courses are valued, it's up to the Uni's to cost them and offer them?

Edited to add that I don't bother with any main stream media anymore due mainly to this kind of bias reporting.

Some of the hardcore 2019 supporters are wavering now as well. Looks like local constituents are finally getting through to them.

I look forward to your all knowing and likely sarcastic and unhelpful reply.

Enacting a subsidy helps the arts, farmers, whoever it affects. Removing one hurts them. It's nothing to do with 'paying their way', removing a subsidy on X is effectively an attack on X just as creating one is supporting X.

Anyone going to watch PMQs today?

Only if Labour propose it, as the official opposition, and enough Tory MP's support it. Can't see them doing that as it would force a GE if it succeeded. They want Johnson out, but to remain in power themselves.

I just wonder if there's enough disaffection in the Tory's to go with it, as they're not the brightest bunch and may fail to realise the implications.

If it was anyone else, I'd know that was a wind-up but with Johnson...

There are even rumours of him calling a snap GE.
Scoots still says that Apr 2020 didn't mark the start of a new stock bull market.
