I would say that was a outlier case. Most on low incomes know where to go to get the maximum they can. White goods, including washing machines, come under 'essential' and are sorted out pronto for those that ask.Comment

1. Is your residence chosen by the government when you receive a council house? No it isn't, you HAVE to bid for it as per the link to the legislation.
2. If you are emergency housed then no you go where there is housing available and then wait to bid for permanent housing via the web site. This is outside the scope of the discussion but as you know I believe government should build more social housing and manage it better. There is additional help for people in emergency housing - we have friends who went through it.
3.You don't get free delivery from Iceland - strange they advertise it. Its restricted based on postcode but one assumes that is for the more remote places.
4. People learning is a bad thing - hmmmmmAlways forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much.Comment

I see how they have come up with the numbers
Shepherd's pie - 26p to 32p per portion
Ingredients (for 12-15 portions)
One stick of celery
This is a great recipe, high in protein, with three vegetables.
I don't think one stick of celery between 12 people counts as one of your five a day!
Fiscal nomad it's legal.Comment
