I have a Bulgarian chap in my evening class who is now a UK citizen and he's joined the local army reserves (I think he's been a member for a good while by the sounds of it). Before he came to the UK he'd done three years of miliary service in Bulgaria (only the first year was compulsory). He really wants to go to Ukraine to fight on their side. Very passionate about the implications of Putin's ambitions if he's not stopped.Comment

Bulgaria has been a 50/50 country between the West and Russia due to its history. This week the Bulgarian government ended the balance and will no longer play intermarry. It also put its neck on the line offering to airport facilities for the Ukraine Airforce.Originally posted by ladymuck View PostI have a Bulgarian chap in my evening class who is now a UK citizen and he's joined the local army reserves (I think he's been a member for a good while by the sounds of it). That is practically a city the size of Birmingham! Is there no end to it?!
