Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich says he is planning to sell the club.

In a statement on the Premier League club's website, businessman Abramovich said it was an "incredibly difficult decision to make", which "pains" him.

It follows days of speculation that the club would go up for sale.

Billionaire Hansjorg Wyss had told Swiss newspaper Blick
that Abramovich wanted "to get rid of Chelsea quickly" after the threat of sanctions was raised in Parliament.

Abramovich confirmed his plans to sell in a statement on Wednesday evening and said net proceeds from the sale would be donated to a charitable foundation which would be “for the benefit of all victims of the war in Ukraine”. He said he would not be asking for the money he has loaned Chelsea since buying the club in 2003 to be repaid.

The Kremlin is holding 36 satellites owned by the British taxpayer-backed company OneWeb hostage in a stand-off over the war in Ukraine.

Roscosmos, the Russian state space agency, is refusing to go ahead with a scheduled launch of the satellites unless the Government sells its stake in OneWeb and it receives assurances that the business is not used for military purposes.

The move threatens to derail efforts by the company to deliver a spaceborne broadband network by the end of the year as it seems to take on rival Starlink, owned by Elon Musk.

Russia's refusal to send the satellites into orbit drew an immediate response from Kwasi Kwarteng, the Business Secretary, who said: “There's no negotiation on OneWeb: the UK Government is not selling its share. We are in touch with other shareholders to discuss next steps."

OneWeb’s satellites are meant to be launched from the Russian-controlled Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan on Saturday. All of the company’s five remaining launches this year are from the site.

Roscosmos said on Twitter: “Roscosmos demands guarantees [for] OneWeb satellites not to be used for military purposes.

“Because of Britain's hostile stance against Russia, another condition for the March 5 launch is that the British government withdraws from OneWeb.”

Russian space Agency workers were ordered to cover up British, American and Japanese flags on the Soyuz rocket meant to transport the satellites.

Dmitry Rogozin, director-general of Roscosmos, said: “The launchers at Baikonur decided that without the flags of some countries, our rocket would look more beautiful."

What Russia wants useful idiots like our Mor On to think is that denazification means removing Nazies (that specific ones from Germany), how in reality what they mean is destroying the nation state (of Ukraine) - it's not genocide per se as they don't plan to kill all those who are Ukrainians, but you can be sure that they'll do what they (USSR) did in Poland in 1939.
