Is that after they were threatened to have their money cut off, given a good beating and then told they would disappear like Princess Latifa?"You’re just a bad memory who doesn’t know when to go away" JR -
Indeed - it doesn't bear thinking about.Originally posted by OwlHoot View PostOn a more serious note, just to remind ourselves ..
What would happen if an 800-kiloton nuclear warhead detonated above midtown Manhattan?
Here's a link to a QED documentary from 1982 that talks about the same bomb over Central London, St Paul's Cathedral.
3:34 "The initial heat is intense enough to melt the great bronze cross <at the top of the dome>. It vaporises the liquid metal as it runs down the dome"
If I thought Putin was ever going to use nuclear weapons I'd want us right out of Ukraine and any involvement with it.
Edit:
4:24 <talking about the lake in St James Park> "In the shallower part of the lake, the water boils. To leave the lakebed dry and steaming".

One reason is having family or friends here. Another reason is if they speak English but don't speak Polish.

It depends on the outcome of this invasion first.Originally posted by Eirikur View PostUkraine officially applied to become a member of the EU. Wonder how that will go done with the Brexidiots who say the EU is like the USSR
Then if the Ukraine still exists it can become an accession state.
Wow - listening to Russian immigrants/ex-pats talking about family back in Russian shows how much fake news can really screw people up."You’re just a bad memory who doesn’t know when to go away" JRComment

According to Wailers, that means it's the EU's fault for the Russian invasion and the EU is responsible for everyone who is killed.Originally posted by Eirikur View PostUkraine officially applied to become a member of the EU. Fifa (and Uefa) finally did it.
https://www.theguardian.com/football...l-competitions
Fifa and Uefa have acted in unison to suspend Russian teams from international football competition.
The most powerful bodies in football acted after days of growing protest. Russia has now been removed from qualification for this winter’s World Cup, and its remaining club side will no longer compete in the Europa League.
Uefa also announced that it is to cancel a long-standing and highly lucrative sponsorship deal with the Russian gas company, Gazprom. The suspension means that Russia will not be able to face Poland in a World Cup play-off semi-final next month, while its women’s team will also be barred from this summer’s European Championships in England.
