B******s! It's a conflict in the same way that a grown man battering a small child is a "conflict". China will be eying this in relation to Taiwan. -
The majority of the Russian media are calling it an invasionOriginally posted by d000hg View Post

First of all a prosecution would need to be brought. That hasn't happened since 1896.Foreign Enlistment Act 1870
If any person, without the license of Her Majesty, being a British subject, within or without Her Majesty’s dominions, accepts or agrees to accept any commission or engagement in the military or naval service of any foreign state at war with any foreign state at peace with Her Majesty, and in this Act referred to as a friendly state, or whether a British subject or not within Her Majesty’s dominions, induces any other person to accept or agree to accept any commission or engagement in the military or naval service of any such foreign state as aforesaid,—
He shall be guilty of an offence against this Act, and shall be punishable by fine and imprisonment, or either of such punishments, at the discretion of the court before which the offender is convicted ..

My parents who live in the Kherson region near the Crimean border and were occupied on day 1 of the invasion are now for one week without electricity, heating, internet and water for a week now. Spoke to my father yesterday who managed to charge his mobile at a friend's house where they have a power generator, but the fuel for that is now also running out. He was afraid to say anything about Russian soldiers in or around their village at all in fear the Russians are tapping in phone conversations.
Meanwhile it looks like Yanukovich the former ousted president is being prepared for a return: https://www.pravda.com.ua/eng/news/2022/03/2/7327392/Слава Україні! Героям слава!Comment

I didn't write the dictionary, I'm just using it. Comparing Ukraine to a small helpless child is both ignorant and insulting. Two armies are fighting, they are literally conflicting.Originally posted by jamesbrown View Post
