Has AtW even explained what the problem was, I couldn't follow his post with <2 coffees? He has AA cover but didn't use it?

Did he say he doesn't have a spare, or that he doesn't know how to change it? What a millennial

The vehicle didn't come with a spare (he blames Merc for not supplying one with the car)
His road assistance had expired after three years from new (he blames for Merc for not telling him it had expired)

Its not clear if they told him over the phone he wasn't eligible for assistance or if they turned up and then wouldn't help him.

If it was over the phone then i don't see any problem.

If they turned up and refused to help, that was time wasting and would genuinely annoy most people.

My mini doesn't (because there isn't room).

Mrs Eek's Ford does (she drove 25,000+ miles a year prior to Covid) and it's a full size space in the space where a spacesaver one should be.

But a spare wheel doesn't matter too much provided you have roadside assistance as they will either tow you to the garage or do the work for you. Even the police say don't change a tyre on a motorway yourself.

He's probably like me. Our cars are looked after by people we trust, so the Mrs spends a fortune with a local mechanic and I use the local specialist as the nearest BMW dealer is crap.
