I mean, there are different ways to look at the facts and often arguments on both sides... But to completely ignore them like that is just moronic.
Are you in favor of not opening even after 100% vaccination ?

Economy was already open to a very large degree back in April, it should be possible to manage longer without night clubs, cinemas, cheap holidays abroad and maybe even without pubs, IF that what it takes.

Just picking an arbitary number like 70% and STILL ignoring the facts of the situation? Just incredible.
There is a point where we have to balance it but looking at the graphs, this is not it.

It definitely can be argued that saying "we aren't opening clubs when people aren't vaccinated" is a great way to encourage the young to get their arms out for the jabs. Indeed that seemed to be what WAS being said at one point, when P4 was delayed. But now everything is opening anyway, there's less motivation.Originally posted by MaryPoppinsI'd still not breastfeed a naziOriginally posted by vetranUrine is quite nourishingComment

You need leave 4 weeks after infection before you can get vaccinated.
So if all the young are being infected then it's obvious why vaccine levels have fallen.
Plus it was estimated that with the new variants you need to have 80-85% of your population fully vaccinated before a country reaches herd immunity....

everyone is going back to work, people are going out. We’ve had pubs crowed for the final. Why blame young people again.
also I don’t think that vaccines work as well as they were advertised, the immunity is wearing off.
the world that we live in was at a breaking point before vaccines, without them people would have lost hope and everything would have turned to anarchy. Then the vaccines arrived and that has been the drumbeat ever since: jabs in arms. What I am trying to say is that the incentive to get anything out there was too high.
the response has been slow because the leadership probably knows that we’ll have to live with it and a few people will have to die. The have very smart people working for them, what they put on tv is just for show.
but I think they could have done more, if it is a long term issues maybe people should have been encouraged to move further outside cities. If you so want them to live. Some did but now we’ve had for months employers asking people to come back into the office, managers iching to pop the question. It could have been a lot easier and better for society with more clarity, which I am sure they have, it’s just not for the plebs.Last edited by GigiBronz; 16 July 2021, 23:49.Comment
