If you had any awareness of Hungary, you'd know that there was a concerted effort by opposition parties to boycott the referendum as being unhungarian and shameful.

Much of the protest was against the way the Hungarian government promoted the referendum - which makes the Brexit politicians look like paragons of virtue and varacity
Don't give a toss about Hungary or UK, but let me ask you.
Is there such a thing as bigger lie? Are HU billboards re: terror bigger lie than the £320 mil for NHS per week?
Or are talking about someone who's a little pregnant and someone else who's more pregnant.

      £350 million, not £320.

Let's just give it to the NHS now. Why not?

        FTFY

If you are going to argue like AssGuru at least get the language right. Attack the argument not the man.

If you want to defeat something by voting you need to encourage people to get out to vote against. Otherwise if it weren't for the technicality it would have been passed. If you think any other way then you really are missing the point.

Much of the protest was against the way the Hungarian government promoted the referendum - which makes the Brexit politicians look like paragons of virtue and varacity - for example billboards such as "“Did you know that the Paris terror attacks were carried out by immigrants?” (Which provoked the satirical response "Did you know that a tree might fall on your head?". The question itself was hardly impartially stated:

“Do you want the European Union to be able to prescribe the mandatory settlement of non-Hungarian citizens in Hungary even without the consent of parliament?”

But you probably think that's entirely truthful and accurate and see nothing wrong with it at all. (q.v. my opening sentence).
            Oink!

Going back to my original point. The Hungarian president stated he would not accept second class status for his people from the UK and insisted they be free to move as they wish.

At the same time, and based upon your posting above, he appears to promote the idea that refugees ARE second class citizens and should not be allowed into Hungary. This is against the EU proposal. c43% of eligible Hungarian voters agree.

            How is that not hypocrisy?

Because we are still currently giving it to the EU.

We could stop today and give it to the NHS instead.

Looks like any financial businesses leaving the City would go to New York. Not Europe.

A loss for the EU too.

An Act of Parliament could repeal our membership straight away.

Then we could give £350 million per week to the NHS.
