In any case the banks have announced they would move jobs to Europe, so it looks like both the US and Europe would get business and London would lose it.
At the same time the Brexit negotiations are going on the EU will be continuing negotiations with the US and in all likelyhood, it will probably just as easy for Europeans to get jobs in New York as in London, so it's not clear there would be a motivation to save London.
Obviously it's the writer's opinion but he is a pretty senior figure in the CityComment
