Germany risks losing its main commercial bank, market generally warns.

Perhaps the Bundesbank chief should get their own house in order first. Obviously, us remaining in the EU would help save them, so they're bound to spread the doom.

CMD/George start project fear pre referendum. World carries on, they don't.

Germans start project fear 2 post referendum. Hmmmm

Yeah, we're really going to deport people already here.
That would turn us from the current laughing stock to international pariah.
      Hard Brexit now!

Britain's 'withered' armed forces can NOT defend us against Russia, says ex-defence chief | Daily Mail Online

Basic problem is we can't afford an effective armed forces due to the weakness of the economy.

Just make them apply for a visa. If they have a job and employet support they can stay. Not difficult.

I don't quite understand how us wanting to sell things to Holland is dependent upon us giving unfettered access to Greeks (as an example). In most walks of life selling to Holland would be reciprocated by Holland selling to us. But not in the EU.

well as we stopped being a 'Superpower' in the 70s that isn't much of a shock is it?

Of course the masterly way the EU dealt with Puntin annexing previous states i.e. hiding in the loo & crapping themselves suggests we aren't the only ones.

There's not many forces that could, so it doesn't really mean anything. If you think an EU army would fare any better you are sadly mistaken.

It seems the drumbeat for a 'Norway' style solution is starting to get louder. The problem is such an outcome would be political suicide for May.

We haven't seen one so we don't know.
I'm sure if the Germans set their mind to it, they could come up with a formidable fighting force.
And more to the point they can afford it.
What with Britain poor and seemingly unreliable and Trump saying he would not use Nato to defend Europe (!), I think a EU army is a given.
