Leaving aside the childish comments on here, politically what's happening is very interesting. May has given a poisoned chalice to the Brexiters. When they fail to get good terms, which is almost a given, there will be an uproar from the business community. Then there will almost certainly be another choice to be made by the public, either in another referendum or by proxy, in an election, about the TERMS of Brexit.
The most likely outcome will be a fudge that will please nobody.

Have you kept up with the news about which economy is struggling, who has cut production, who is suggesting different unions?

Stop seeing the EU as all powerful. Terms of leaving will be just fine or they are screwed more than us.

Hardly a dispassionate analysis. There's no way for May to detach herself from failure, without fatally damaging her premiership. She's in complete control of her appointments, as well as the timetable for triggering Article 50 and deciding the UK's negotiating position. There's a degree of goodwill about the timetable, because it's widely accepted that hamface was criminally arrogant in his failure to prepare for the possibility of Brexit.

My prediction is that May will trigger Article 50 using prerogative power around February/March next year. I don't think we'll get a particularly good deal (for them either, especially if the EC takes a lead role), but a fudge would be worse for everyone, including May. However, the outcome of the Article 50 process is rather limited. It isn't a trade negotiation, it's an agreement about the terms of exit.

Based on her rhetoric to date, May seems to understand and accept that the elementary terms of exit were indeed part of the campaign (primacy of our own legislature in the daily grind of enacting laws and the repeal of freedom of movement). Most likely, these are contrary to remaining in the single market, given that the EU is not about to engage in wholesale reform. The Bremainers arguing otherwise are still grieving.

The lack of single market and passporting rights in negotiations would certainly be interesting. I look forward to seeng the resolution, lots of entertaining times ahead

But I don't have skin in the game, a grandfather had European nationality and on that basis I will have shortly have dual nationality.

Another lie from the pro eu brigade was that they would enact the vote. Of course they thought they would win hence no exit plan. Plans being put in place now. We aren't going to tick A50 j til we are ready, although I'm sure some of you lot would love it if we did si you could cry out about lack of organisation.

There will be a control on immigration. That doesn't mean fewer. It means choosing to suit us.

I can only imagine you work for government under SDC as you seem to enjoy other people telling you what to do.
Sorry, you are trying to spin the lies of the Brexit camp to be positive things. They PROMISED on the sides of busses that we would give £350 million a week to the NHS.
They PROMISED that we would "take control of immigration"
They PROMISED that we would "take back our sovereignty"
Those were the three big pledges/promises, or to put it a different way, 52% of the population voted for those things, or voted believing that they would happen.
They haven't happened and those who promised/pledged them are doing nothing.

Stop trying to spin the failures and lies that you fell for and blaming those who didn't fall for them for your gullibility.
It's not those who voted to remain who were duped into believing the NHS would get £350 million a week.
It's not those who voted to remain who were conned into thinking it would mean the end of unelected bureaucrats.
The backtracking, the closing down of websites that listed the "promises", all point to those who voted Brexit being snared by a bunch of fraudsters. Of course, many of those voters have egos too big to admit their stupidity, so they try to justify it by belittling others while ignoring what they fell for.

As for who I have contracted to, I've never done public sector work. I tend to work for global clients rather than tiny UK only places like you appear to based on your narrow minded approach to life.
…Maybe we ain’t that young anymore

Do you actually believe any of the stuff you write? You sound desperate. The only NHS 'promise' was for £100m. I posted the link previously.

Do you genuinely believe people voted based upon ons suggestion on the side of a bus? The only people I know who were swayed by promises voted Remain through fear. Now they have seen the reality they would also vote leave.

When you were younger and saw the ad with the catch line 'mum, let's go to Iceland', did you actually think you were going there?

You spin all you want. Nobody cares
