A Swiss woman, who has converted to Islam, and a French-Algerian businessman publically opposed the ban in the city of Locarno in the canton of Tessin were both fined when the new rule came into effect last Friday.

Anyone caught wearing a veil in the canton, which is Italian speaking and predominently Roman Catholic, can reportedly be fined up to €9,200 (£7,890).

Sort of. The NRA go on about "Guns don't kill people. People kill people". So to deconstruct that argument, I advocate controlling people. Making it harder for people to get guns. In fact, making it really really difficult for people to get guns, because "People kill people". So it's only common sense to make it as difficult as possible. The "wrong hands" are 99% (or more) of the American public.

Easy way is to give as few people a gun as possible then you lower the risk of accidents and nutters being armed with assault rifles.

So let me explain. In General, it is fine to call people chavs, feckers, morons, cretins or other (non-hate) epithets. It is never permitted to imply threats of violence (unless it's obviously meant in a humourous context). I can appreciate that since threatening violence is kind of a chavvish thing to do, that you might have meant it ironically.
