Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much.

Boris should have been the face of Brexit at this stage, not someone who, no matter how much he claims not to be racist (and may be more a patriot than a racist) will be viewed as one. UKIP is viewed as a racist party rather than a patriotic/protectionist party because the left have succeeded in painting them as such.
Pretty much how I see it. Given another week and it might have been able to bounce back. Butterfly effect.

Of course. A Remain vote keeps Cameron and Osborne at the helm for at least 4 more years. What is their record like in tackling zero hours contracts, for example? 6 years on and fook all improvement.

Not the left. The Tories used the racist tag on them as well.
Down with racism. Long live miscegenation!

            Likely 1.5-1.55 on Friday.

I doubt it will go above 1.50 for long period - economy is in deep tulip and new cuts will soon start to bite hard.

Yeah, I think so too, although Cable is known for massively overshooting in both directions, so I wouldn't be surprised to see 1.55 or above before the pullback. It depends on the June jobs numbers in the US (reported 8 July). Cable will probably rally through 8 July, but it may turn abruptly if these numbers are spectacularly strong, as the path for US rate rises will look stark when compared to the UK (good chance, because an unexpectedly weak number is often followed by an unexpectedly strong one). There's very little chance of a UK rate rise for at least another 6mo-1yr, as they'll want to see if the slow growth earlier this year was only temporary - I don't think it was.

The June non farm payroll figures won't be strong. May's figures and april's revised figures hint at what they will be.

I do not get a vote to elect the EU Commission, either its President or any individual member.

The EU Commission proposes laws and sets direction for the EU. It is the EU's executive and its most senior decision making body. These definitions are all confirmed by the EU Commission web site.

The EU Commission is therefore the only executive in the free world that is not elected by citizens under full suffrage. Also it is the only executive (I think) that faces no official opposition, (called a "shadow" government in the UK). In contrast, the citizens of all Western nations can remove their governments entirely every few years, under universal suffrage.

I think it will be, but we'll see (these revisions are frequently all over the place, with very little obvious pattern). The May number was a spectacular miss, completely contradictory to regional Fed reports and other anecdotal evidence, although you would expect a 100k economy @ 5% unemployment, not a 200k one, so 200k+ is the new spectacular. Also, you have +35k from Verizon workers who were on strike during the May reporting period.

He does tend in that direction it's fair to say. I still find what he says very funny. There isn't much satire around these days; with the likes of Corbyn, Farage, Cameron and Boris surely we need Spitting Image more than ever?
