Nothing I did either before, or during claiming was disallowed or even frowned upon. In fact, at the time, they were more than happy to process my claim because they knew I'd be very little trouble to them.
Like I always say, dont claim if you dont want to. No odds to me at all. Just dont shout down people who want to claim.
