Just joshing... you're right. I find it's the best way to get decent customer service, but don't really use it for its 'proper' use.Originally posted by Unix View PostI mean breaking news usually the news sites will have to wait till things are confirmed vs some guy watching it unfold with his iPhone.Originally posted by MaryPoppinsI'd still not breastfeed a naziOriginally posted by vetranUrine is quite nourishingComment

It doesn't have a "proper" use beyond the basic principle of allowing one to follow and communicate with people who occasionally say stuff that you, personally, find interesting, amusing, or whatever. The key is that you decide which people/organisations/bots to include. As a result, my timeline would probably be completely useless to just about anybody else, and their timelines would each be useless to me.Originally posted by d000hg View PostJust joshing... you're right. This is why its management are so screwed right now: since the IPO they're trying to keep investors happy, but can't say "it's whatever you choose it to be" as that doesn't make sense to investors. So they keep trying to portray it as, say, a source of news.
And meanwhile, the users keep right on using it as whatever they, individually, choose it to be, some of them pausing occasionally to point out that "Twitter Moments", "Promoted Tweets", "Who To Follow", and suchlike initiatives are utter crap that completely miss the point.Comment
