          That's a bit harsh, I thought Norman was a decent bloke who had the Countries interest at heart, unlike the soulless ghouls that inhabit Westminster today!

          Back in the day I actually followed his advice and 'got on my bike' (car) and toured the country seeking work at a time when contracts we're scarce

              He thought about it, but he decided it was best to quit politics and focus on looking after his wife. Feeding her her meals, keeping her clean, turning her in bed a couple of times during the night so she didn't get bed sores.

              I read his obituary in The Times. He was actually a shop steward at one time, at BOAC. He also flew fighter jets during his military service. But it was his committment to his wife that showed his true colours.
