I'm just putting things in perspective. My great grandparents fought in the first world war. My grandparents fought in the second world war. My parents had to endure the economic tulipfest of the 70s - 3 day weeks, double-digit rates on mortgages, etc. The baby boomers may seem to have had it good from where you're looking but they've had their own battles to fight.
No generation has truly had it great in the 20th century and now you're moaning about things that were probably always there but the equivalent generation were simply never aware of. To think suddenly being aware of a situation means that you can change it is incredibly naïve. The same elite are untouchable as nobody knows their true reach. You're looking at something bigger and they'll have hooks into everything to mitigate or maximize any action that you take.
The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world that he didn't exist

As you say, substituting in my case grandparents, parents, and me respectively. But you are wasting your breath: I tried to argue with PG months ago that he was whitewashing away the struggles of the so-called "baby boomer" generation, but his ears and his mind were closed. He has a script in which he is the victim, and if you are the villain in his script, you are damned regardless.

That's because at no point do you acknowledge the mess your generation has left my generation with. And we have no oil or gold left to pay for your mistakes. Instead we are told to shut up, don't complain, don't blame, just fix our mess. And be thankful of any crumbs that have fallen off the table.

Be grateful for small mercies. Imagine if those inconsiderate boomers hadn't bothered to invent the internet - you'd be stuck writing letters to the local rag.
