      Is "bogging" good or bad?!

Seems to me a bit overpriced for the size, but I suppose it's a nice location.

Here's an example (off a busy main road [emoji26]):

4 bedroom house for sale in Westbury Road, WARMINSTER, BA12, BA12
For the same price as above you could have:

              or

The UK house market is beyond bonkers.

Are these nice areas? If so, wow, really does go to show how ****ed up the UK is.

Beautiful spots. There's lots to see and do in that part of the world. We consider a move that way ourselves since I'm working from the home much of the time. But we've established ourselves in Bavaria, friends etc.

They don't allow housing bubbles over here. Uncontrolled inflation gives people the willies for some reason or another.

Even if you did not want to live there, from an investors point of view property in Germany is undervalued.

                    Thanks for sharing.

I hope prices remain static - affordable and static is a great thing IMHO. Make money from gold, or shares, but leave homes as homes.

Unfortunately too many people see housing as a cash cow in the UK. All that MEWing for holidays and BTL makes me sick. Greedy ****ers!

Yes, you can buy property cheap here but it is going up all the time and there is a lot of new development going on, the Germans are getting into home ownership now and then you want to see what is happening in Berlin with both rents and prices.

There is probably one problem with both of those properties in that they are restored and are probably under 'Denkmalschutz' which means that you have to keep them looking like that and there are very specific laws in what you can do with them. I know people who have bought such a property without fully realising this and the costs of keeping them maintained spiral upwards. Mind you, I saw a own vineyards a short while ago for the price of a 3 bedroom semi in the UK which was tempting...
