I am not sure the concepts of self loathing or envy require evidence. Activities of the left such as regarding taxation as a means of punishment without giving a flying fig for how it is spent is one -despite claiming to ba acting in the interests of the poor and "fairness. . Mansion tax is another. denigrating all the things that make this country a better place to live and work are another. The list is endless. Margaret Thatcher who created the capitalist environment that enabled people like you to become the richest people in the world is another. Every thing you write and say is emblematic of the evils of left wing dogma. All hidden behind the lie that you are only interested in others.

You see my problem? In between the 'list is endless' bollux, and utterley unsupported acccusation of dishonesty, just one teeny-weeny actual example, the mansion tax, (which I disagree with, btw), proposed by Lib Dems and Labour, making a progressive taxation system little bit more progressive, and affecting just a few tens of thousands of properties, on wealth that has more to do with postcode than hard work.

Even our charity is essentially patronising. Give a man a fish and he can eat for a day. Give him a fishing rod and he can feed himself. Alternatively, don’t poison the fishing waters, abduct his great-grandparents into slavery, then turn up 400 years later on your gap year talking a lot of tulipe about fish.

In a further nod to satire, Comic Relief this year focused on Malawi and Uganda. I didn’t see any acknowledgement that Britain had been the colonial power in those countries. “Thanks for the gold, lads, thanks for the diamonds. We had a whip-round and got you a fishing rod.”

The UK isn't in a position to send another fleet down there. For a start we have 1 aircraft carrier almost ready but no planes to go on it.

We can't even defend our own coastline as the government have closed down airfields in the north east of Scotland and we don't have any boats up there either. When a Russian ship was reported just outside of Scottish waters it took a Royal Navy boat 2 days to get to it from Plymouth.

Another reason to scrap £100Bn on a Trident system that can't be used and put some of the money into conventional forces that defend us as an island. Stop wasting money on illegal wars and occupations where we have no right to be.

Apart from that, Las Malvinas should be given back to Argentina on condition that the residents can retain their UK passports and other rights.

All British citizens everywhere, from the Falklands to the Shetlands via Gibraltar and Scotland have the right to be protected by the British state and are right to expect the British state to retaliate in the face of aggression from any foreign power.
