It's a kind of cultural marxism that they want to bring about in their drive towards 'equality'. Individuality frightens them. -

Britain-- idiotThe logic of a receptacle for hot beverages provided by slavery and colonisation being anti-immigrant bears no more examination than a pair of homophobic Speedos.
Tea and coffee is a product of slavery and colonisation? That should be enough to render the rest unworthy of reading.Comment

Nah, he'll be siding with the Welsh Nationalists and demanding that England be taken from the nasty Anglo Saxons and given back to the Celts (and I did actually work with one that believed that once).Originally posted by MicrosoftBob View PostIt's allright he'll probably start on give Argentina back to the Welsh next, free the disputed Patagonian territories !!!!Comment

Fail. Bottriell co-founded S3/Computer Futures in 1986, hence half the period in which he made his millions were under a Labour administration, which doesn't seem to have impaired his ability to prosper one jot.Originally posted by DodgyAgent View PostAs a major donor to the labour party he has more influence and power to damage capitalism than most. Which was not my point. What I will say is that this guy exploited the most extreme forms of capitalism and prospered by virtue of the free markets that had been established by Thatcher. He sent his children to private school and no doubt paid for private health.
He is openly supporting a system that is anti capitalist, anti private schools and anti just about anything that supports individual freedom and responsibility. The consequence of which there is little social mobility (the poor are kept in their council estates and given whatever health and education the state hands out to them). They would be eventually denied the single access to upward mobility.
Not only that he supports a a party that has a history of ruining the economy.
In other words he wants to remove the opportunities that he had away from aspiring "tooting lads" and instead "keep them in their place".
Ruthless capitalists like him will always prosper in any environment. When they try to disguise themselves as caring socialists there is only one word to describe them - hypocrites.Let us not forget EU open doors immigration benefits IT contractors more than anyoneComment

Shorter Dodgy: Successful businessman who seized opportunity and prospered under Labour is a hypocrite because he supports Labour, who are anti-opportunity and anti-prosperity.Originally posted by DodgyAgent View PostWhich was not my point. Or, maybe, just maybe, he objects to this kinda thing:

But DP,please stop pointing out pragmatic realities. This is all about standing up for a principle. The right of the islanders to self determination and defence of Tory values.Originally posted by DimPrawn View PostBut what about the Russians!

Indeed, these people are so amazingly British that they want to live 8,000 miles away from Britain. They so believe in the traditional Tory values of self-reliance and not depending on the State that they require 1 soldier for every two Islanders in perpetuity, and they are so bloody One Nation that they expect that each of the rest of us pay £1 annually each just for their privilege.
It all makes perfect sense. My subconscious is annoying. It's got a mind of its own.Comment

As you have made a point of judging whether we fight for the freedom of fellow countryman according material cost then perhaps you might like to suggest an actual per capita amount.Originally posted by pjclarke View PostBut DP,please stop pointing out pragmatic realities.
